Staff Training
All staff and volunteers are encouraged to attend regular training.
Training includes:
• Induction
• Common disabilities and medical conditions
• First Aid
• Behaviour management
• Health & Safety (inc Food Hygiene)
• Child Protection
• Equal opportunities
• Quality Team Building
• Organisational procedures
Team meetings are a regular feature in the life of SNAP and active dialogue and participation is encouraged. Equal opportunities and non-discrimination is practised.
Regular monitoring and evaluation of staff is undertaken by the Project Manager and Services Co-ordinator. Development plans are drawn up for each individual member of staff as part of their evaluation.
SCOTTISH SOCIAL SERVICES COUNCIL
All staff employed in the ‘Care Sector’ have to gain appropriate qualifications specific to their role within their individual organisations. Key staff are undertaking varying levels of SVQ’s in Care, Learning And Development and Playwork.
